Review: The Electric Ballroom is a popular nightclub situated in the heart of London’s Camden town. The Ballroom opened in 1975 and ever since has served as a venue for live rock music and a great venue for a variety of clubbers. It’s a good sized club with two large floors .The majority of clubbers are friendly and fun loving with the odd exception.

On Fridays the resident DJ Plays music for a rock audience and the club consists mainly of trendy Punk and gothic clientele. On Saturday nights it’s cheesy pop and Rnb night, they have a separate intimate room for lovers of RNB and hip hop music. The service is very friendly and efficient on the whole and since the clubs become more strict on who they let in there seems to be less trouble makers at the Ballroom.

Drink prices are decent with Their speciality Snakebite costing around £3.50 and the same for a pint of lager. You must be at least nineteen to enter the premises and the door staff are quite strict without being aggressive. Good to try and get there earlier on in the night as the queues can get ridiculously long. Standard entry fee is around £10

The club open their doors from 10 pm to 3-30 am.

Camden Town is the nearest Tube station to the club and is literally seconds walk from the Ballroom. Camden Town is served by the Northern Line

Review: Heaven is a nightclub situated underneath Charing Cross railway station in central London. Heaven caters for the gay market and since opening its doors in 1979 it has become London’s premiere hot spot for gay clubbers. The club plays music which appeals to the majority of its clientele with electro pop, cheesy pop and dance music being the soundtrack to life at Heaven.

Many famous names are known to have frequented the venue including comedian kenny Everett and rock singer Freddie Mercury. Many people say they have had problems getting in to the club as they are not gay and felt aggrieved at the way the door staff handled the situation. There are mixed reviews regarding the service at Heaven.

The club has many large dance floors and so a lack of space could never be an issue for a hardcore clubber. The crowd in Heaven tend to be friendly and the average age of a clubber in there is around 30. Drinks are well priced with many special offers such as 1 pound drinks on certain nights. Entry could cost you anywhere between £12 and £20, the earlier you get there the cheaper entry will be.

Opening times are Mon and Wed 22.30-03.00 and Fri and Sat 22.30-05.00.

Embankment and Charing Cross stations are just a couple of minutes walk from Heaven and are served by the Bakerloo, Northern, Circle and District lines.

The Oxygen Bar

17-18 Irving Street London WC2H 7AU
Tel no:0208-123-2507

Review: Oxygen Bar is one of the west Ends most stylish night clubs. the club plays predominately urban music with Hip Hop and Rnb being the main genres played at the venue. The club attracts a trendy crowd and most people agree that the vibe in there is generally positive, but there have been a few complaints about some aggressive people there.

They are renowned for having a huge cocktail list which will make the typical clubber here very happy. The club is a good size with multi levels and despite its popularity doesn’t become too crowded like may other West End hot spots.

The price range is fair considering the club’s location and a bottle of beer will cost you around £3.00. Oxygen has a happy hour when there is a selection of special offers. The service is very efficient and friendly which adds to the enjoyment of the night at Oxygen. The entry fee tends to be around 10-15 pounds.

Opening hours are Friday and Saturday 22.00 to 02.00.

Leicester square tube station is just a minutes walk away and is served by the Northern and Piccadilly lines.

Pacha Night Club

Terminus Place, Victoria, London SW1E 5NE
Tel no: 0207-834-5343

http://www.pachalondon.com/

Review: Pacha nightclub in Swanky Victoria is an upmarket venue which caters for those who aren’t short of a few quid. The club plays house and techno music and is designed to give you the feel of an ibizan holiday.

Some find Pacha a little pretentious which is inevitable given the price of entry and drinks. Most who attend the club regularly feel it has a quick service and say the ambience is one of its main attractions. The club has two reasonable sized floors but can get a little overcrowded on Saturday nights.

There is something a little cheesy about the venue so If you’re a more cynical music fan you are likely to be turned off. A standard bottle of beer will cost you at least four pounds and the entry fee is rather high at around 20 pounds.

Opening hours are between 10 pm and 5am and Saturday nights tend to be the busiest.

Victoria Tube and train station is just 0.1 km from Pacha and is served by the Victoria and Northern Lines.
