The airport is accessible by rail and from junction 8 of the M11 via J27 of the M25
Rail Services To & From London Stansted Airport
The railway station at Stansted Airport is directly underneath the airport with easy lift access to the airport above – making it the most accessible airport by rail of all the London Airports
Central Trains run services to Stansted from Cambridge, Birmingham & Leicester.
Stansted Express Rail operate the rail service to the airport from the Central London Liverpool Street Station via the London Underground Victoria Line Metro Station at Tottenham Hale. Trains depart 4 times an hour and the journey tome is 46 minutes from Liverpool Street and 35 minutes from Tottenham Hale.:
The interchange change at Liverpool Street connects to Central Line for Central London destinations. It is also serves Bank / Monument which is the interchange station for the Docklands Light Railway services to London City Airport. Also at Liverpool Street is the Circle Line: Change at Kings Cross St Pancras International For First Connect Thameslink rail services to London Luton Airport (see also National Express coach services below) and London Gatwick Airport**. At king’s Cross take the Piccadilly line for London Heathrow Airport *. (Other services from Kings Cross go to the Midlands and Scotland. For services from Euston to the Midlands NW and Scotland change at Kings Cross onto the Victoria Line – one stop) The Circle Line and Hammersmith & City Line services from Liverpool Street also go to Paddington mainline station which serves the West London suburbs, Oxford, The West Country Devon and Cornwall.
* Passenger for London Heathrow Airport travelling at peak times with heavy luggage may find it easier to take the Circle Line from Liverpool Street to South Kensington and then change on to the Piccadilly Line.
** An alternative route to London Gatwick Airport from Liverpool Street is to take the Circle Line to Victoria and then take the Gatwick Express. This can take up to half an hour longer but it is a more comfortable journey.
Bus & Coach Services To & From London Stansted Airport
easyBus coach services operate a 24 hour service from the airport to Central London Underground Baker Street Metro Station. The average journey time is 1 hour fifteen minutes. During the day these services are three times an hour and at night twice an hour. Prices start at £2 one way.
Terravision Coaches operate from Stansted to London Liverpool St & London Victoria with journey times of 55 and 75 minutes respectively. Both destinations are key interchange stations. The service is approx. every 30 minutes during the day and intermittently at night. These services
National Express Coaches operate three services from Stansted – the A6 to Victoria, the A7 to London Liverpool Street & Victoria and the A9 to Stratford. All three stations are key rail and underground interchanges. These services are every 20 – 30 minutes during the day and run at less frequent intervals during the night. Services to Victoria connect with other services across the United Kingdom.
National Express Coaches run 27 daily services between London Stansted Airport and London Luton Airport. This service is intermittent from early evenings until breakfast but during the day there are usually 2 services an hour – journey time usually about 90 minutes

Facilities At London Stansted Airport
This airport is a very clean spacious airport with good facilities. It has the customary exchange bureaus and several ATM machines. It has many cafes and bars, one that is open 24 hours and once you have passed through security a very comfortable competitively priced Wetherspoons pub restaurant.
There are many retail outlets throughout the airport including duty free shops. There are also baby changing facilities and a multi faith chapel. Wireless Internet access is available throughout the airport and there is also an internet exchange.
London Stansted Airport Special Needs Facilities
This airport has a positive policy towards disabled travellers which compared with some airports works in practice. Throughout the airport there are wheelchair accessible toilets and a combination of spacious lifts and ramps link all levels of the airport including the railway station underneath. Car Parking At London Stansted Airport
There are three categories of parking at Stansted, Short Stay, Mid Stay and Long Stay. For security reasons there is no Blue Badge Scheme operating at Stansted and the Short Stay car park is a short walk from the entrance to the terminal. The Mid Stay car park is around a mile from the terminal with free transfers provided by wheelchair accessible coaches – you should allow 20 minutes for for the transfer. The Long Stay car park is over three miles from the terminal with free transfers provided by wheelchair accessible coaches – you should allow 45 minutes for for the transfer.
